Welcome to Horton-in-Ribblesdale CE (VA) Primary School.

I would like to take this opportunity of welcoming you to Horton-in-Ribblesdale CE (VA) Primary and Nursery School.  It is a happy, up to date school with a positive atmosphere where children are encouraged to develop their potential to the full.

Our school provides a secure and stable environment where we all work as a team to help realise each child's all-round potential through our broad and balanced curriculum. We foster an ethos of responsibility and respect, and a climate in which pupils feel emotionally relaxed but educationally challenged.

We are proud of the achievements of all our pupils and we are committed to enabling our children to develop high academic and social standards.

Our church links and our active role in the community are very important features of the part we seek to play in the village of Horton-in-Ribblesdale and the surrounding area. Conversely, we welcome the interest that our local community takes in its school.

Although we have taken certain measures to improve school security, we are still an "open" school and welcome parental involvement. Parents are encouraged to take advantage of the many formal and informal occasions that help them and us to enhance a home-school relationship which promotes high standards in work and behaviour and which addresses issues in a spirit of partnership.

Our school is proud to be a member of a new confederation of three schools, the others being Austwick CE (VA) Primary and Nursery School and Clapham CE (VC) Primary School.

Please feel free to contact me: I will be happy to show you round our lovely school!
